She attended Southern Methodist University and in 1991 left Texas to pursue dancing (She took ballet lessons from the age of six to fifteen). Soon, her modeling career moved her from New York to Paris. She moved back to the US to look for more work and met her husband. They had son Hayden in August of 2000. Chandra got her big break when she was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Since then, she has appeared in advertisements for Versace, J. Crew, Chanel and has also been on the cover of Vogue and Elle.
