She began ballet training at the age of 6, and by the time she reached the age of 15 she had joined a professional dance company. After three years touring doing ballet, she quit and began training to become an actress. Her first speaking role was on an episode of the popular TV series Married with Children, but her big break was when she played a nurse on an episode of Seinfeld in 1992.
